  Monumental. Strange. And consistently overwhelming. The Brutalist is a challenging and thematically perplexing film with an elusive and often dreamlike narrative that grabs hold from the very start and doesn’t let go for three and a half hours (not even during its intermission). The ‘overture’ and subsequent opening titles left my heart pounding. The score is one of the most effective and immersive I’ve heard in years. And the cinematography is stunning.   This film won’t appeal to everyone, but I found it to be a pulsating and surreal masterpiece. My favourite Luca Guadagnino film since I Am Love. I was transfixed from start to finish.

  Mia Fucking Goth is a fucking movie star! This was such a gloriously camp conclusion to Ti West’s brilliant horror trilogy. I never expected to love these films as much as I have. Easily the best horror franchise since the original Scream films.
