As a reader of the Dune Books, I just want to illuminate for all you non-readers out there that this is NOT a story about religion’s affect on oppressed peoples, the dangers of charismatic leadership, the addiction of power, or any other nonsense from your favorite YouTube video essayists. Don’t listen to that junk. A sophisticated read of the original text clearly reveals that it’s about none of those things: It’s about worms! It’s a worm story. Hope this helps.
