The epic conclusion! Fiona, thank you for turning me into a fan! What an incredible ending to this fantastic story! A four and a half hour epic that keeps you hooked the whole time! What more can you ask for?!

The army of the dead is the sickest thing I’ve seen in a battle scene in forever! I want to be an undead green ghost soldier charging through Mordor fucking shit up! Let’s make this happen!

    The Crow

    ★★★★½

Pure grungy, brutal action! The Crow is a fantastic dark revenge film that follows Eric Draven resurrected from the dead to avenge the death of himself and his girlfriend. He taunts and toys with those involved before exacting his murderous revenge.

Rest In Peace Brandon Lee. Honestly showed so much of his potential and star power in the leading role here, it’s an absolute tragedy what happened to him. I’m glad this project was able to be finished to immortalize…

    Bullet proof vest… nice touch!

Scream 3! Not as good as the last two but good in its own right. I thought the entire movie set/Hollywood setting and angle was really awesome for this franchise. I didn’t like the ghostly apparition of Maureen, that just felt out of place and cheap.

One of the best supporting casts besides 4 with some amazing characters. The Stab 3 cast are so entertaining i would watch an actual Stab 3 if it came…

A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child

    ★★

Damn easily the worst one yet, continuing the downwards trend of the last film. Thankfully some really cool and interesting kills here makes up for some of its shortcomings but, it feels like we really lost the original feel of Elm Street here.

I liked Alice in the last film, I was turned off of her here. She comes off as to whiny and really incapable. I also did not like the whole unborn baby plotline with Jacob, which is…

    Touching, Beautiful, Real.

Finally got the chance to see Sing Sing after missing its initial run and wow what a powerful movie. When we see prisons depicted in movies they’re almost exclusively violent, depraved, and dangerous wastelands. Sing Sing shows the other side, the people trying to find their humanity and to feel something again.

Based on a real life program and including many of former inmates at the faculty that partook in the RTA program we get to see…

    Nosferatu

    ★★★★½

My last theatre trip of the year and one of my most anticipated films was Nosferatu.

Eggers delivers another masterful horror depiction of Count Orlok that beautifully pays homage to its roots, while being a spectacle to intrigue the modern masses.

As with most of Eggers film, this is absolutely gorgeous. The ability to create such an authentic early 1800’s gothic atmosphere is incredible and was incredibly immersive mentally. I was in awe for quite a few scenes just admiring…
