The performances in A Teacher made it a very believable glimpse into the emotional complexity and ethical conundrums of student/teacher relationships. The execution of this plot line provides for a thought provoking discussion, without force-feeding a position on the issue. And yet, I can't help but feel something was missing from taking this film to another level.

Snowpiercer 2013
Transformers: Age of Extinction was released this weekend to rave reviews. Critics praised the deeply philosophical Dystopian sci-fi action film for its unique vision, and masterful balance of violent action, drama and twisted sense of humor. Michael Bay has once again defied all odds by directing an epic action film that goes far beyond surface value thrills thanks to a thought-provoking plot and a few fantastic acting performances.
Now replace Transformers: Age of Extinction with Snowpiercer, and Michael Bay with Joon-ho Bong, and this review will not be full of shit ironic joke.Translated from by

Mr. Nobody 2009
An ambitious film filled with big ideas about the possibilities of life and how the decisions we make take us on different paths. Mr. Nobody is strong visually and offers a strong message about regret. It's biggest fault is in its runtime of 2hr 35mins. With a bit of that fat cut out, Mr. Nobody could have been an all-time sci-fi classic. Either way, it's still quite enjoyable.

Irreversible 2002
After years of avoiding this movie due to its subject matter, I knew I wasn't going to enjoy Irreversible when I pressed play. Only a sociopath would enjoy Irreversible. Naturally, it turned out to be one of the most intense cinematic experiences I've ever had, and Gaspar Noé uniquely jarring camera work, droning soundtrack and backwards structure all worked incredibly well for the serious subject matter.
This movie will live in infamy for the brutal rape scene that drags on…
