My Darling Clementine 1946
It remains a mystery to me why this is titled My Darling Clementine, given the minor role played by the eponymous Clementine Carter. Nonetheless, this is another masterful western by the master himself, John Ford. Henry Fonda and Victor Mature are both excellent as Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday respectively. Their friendship works, despite their differences, because they are both intelligent, decent men. They are both loners at heart, who nonetheless find comfort in their unlikely fellowship. The stunning black and white chiaroscuro photography is the perfect complement to these wonderful performances.

The Conjuring 2013
I appreciate how all the protagonists are believable and likeable human beings who make mostly sensible decisions, but the movie lacks bite and originality.
