  i did think that the themes and overall message were very spoonfed/heavy-handed, but i think that was the intent judging by the in-your-face cinematography and overall campiness.

  i don’t think i was really in the mood to watch yet another black trauma film so i’ll need s second watch at some point, but i thought those was beautifully filmed and written. i also loved the first person perspective as i had always wondered why this hadn’t been done in a narrative film like this before.

  one of those films that i like a lot but can’t put a finger on exactly why. i’m really intrigued by the character Luisa and her journey through grief. the way the narrator gives us details that the film doesn’t show is interesting as well. i love the way the ending makes everything that comes before make much more sense. plus, i love a good road trip film.
