  Never have I seen such a massive song in such a small film. And it was used a lot!
  Must be a record of some kind. Or illegal. 

  New Life was short on the blood and frights and heavy on the mystery, character and thrills making for a solid little indie. 

  Not perfect but solid.

  I’m Completing every Joaquin Phoenix film if you were wondering why I’m watching a 1984 after school special educating  kids on dyslexia. 
  It was an oddity of greatness to see River and Joaquin in such an early role.

  Joaquin has the least amount of screen time but hits the screen like nothing else, smashing you in the brain,  making what would otherwise just be a good movie into an unforgettable one.
