    This movie fucking rocks 🪨
That’s a bit of a funny joke, cus you see, the main antagonist of this movie is a rock man. Hahaha!

There’s something a bit unsettling about the combination of a newly darkened tone/color pallet and the notably younger Dorothy Gale (she is a child) that makes the stakes feel strangely high throughout the movie. I was genuinely on the edge of my seat for much of the runtime. I wanted my little homie to make it through!

The practical FX and the sets that they used to make this are pretty sick; it’s so beautifully 80s.

Gonna go listen to Sufjan Stevens.

Without my intending it, Over the Hedge somehow became my most-watched movie of the past couple of years. It just keeps popping up in the Netflix recommended, and my friends keep getting excited about it, and I’ve now realized that no part of me will ever say no to a rewatch of this era-defining piece of art

    Soundtrack? ✔️ bangs
Avril Lavigne? ✔️ plays an opossum
Commentary? ✔️ more based than you might anticipate!

Yeah, it’s a freaking classic for a reason.

Both of these stars come from the enjoyment this movie brought me, neither from the quality of the movie itself. I missed the first half hour, so I wasn’t aware that one of the protagonists, Esther, works as a management consultant. When this came up as a late-stage conflict deep into the third act, I was confused. However, this confusion made it REALLY funny when Simon, the other main…

    warning: there will be spoilers

On October 5th, 2005, Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit was released in movie theaters across America. I was three years old. I went to see the movie with my family, but soon the ominous score and carefully molded, creepy clay proved too much for me to handle, and I left the theater crying.

Tonight, I watched the new Wallace and Gromit adventure, Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, for the first time.…
