This film’s depiction of Gotham City is so grimy, so sleazy, so corrupt, that I genuinely believe that it is more productive for a billionaire philanthropist like Bruce Wayne to deck himself in army fatigues and beat criminals to a pulp in the moonlight than it would be for him to actually donate his billions to people and charities in need in the daylight.
