It’s an incredibly fun time. Pretty much what you expect from the trailer. There’s a level of set-up-punchline signaling and a not entirely unique or outstanding script at play here. But EVERYONE is so well casted and so *utterly* committed to the bit that you aren’t going to care. Jenna Ortega is able to switch from vape based comedy bits to making me teary eyed with a monologue better than the script was able to switch between its several genres.…

The Keep 1983
Dropping a half a star from my original rating. Only because of context. I found the absolute bewildering and batty film very endearing. But to hear that the reason Mann disowned this film was because there is supposedly a three hour cut that studios did a hack job on to make this a 90ish minute film is upsetting. Meaning he probably had a far more coherent and mythos building film PLUS the studio hacks took an extra 90 minutes away from us and if you’ve seen the god tier restoration Vinegar Syndrome did, you’d be upset about that too.
