I gotta say, I'm with Toros on this one. It might have been a more compelling journey for Ivan and Ani if they weren't obviously driven by their own selfish motivations. And if he's wasn't a complete douche. I didn't really get the sense there was any element of compassion or love between them—passion sure, ecstasy, but also hard-headedness and loads of naivety.

I was left with a general feeling of this being unfinished. The scenic animation had a simplistic 3D render style that didn't mesh well with the character animations, and their movements at times were choppy, awkward, and messily choreographed. The design and art direction in general was well done, and did a decent job adapting the Peter Jackson world as an anime.
