The way they nominated this instead of Joyland at the Oscars 😭😭
Interesting at first but felt tiresome later on. Didn't connect with it or anything, didn't like the story and I was so bored. Felt like the direction could've been better. Cinematography is beautiful though so.
The performances are heartfelt and moving and I love how this theater group humanizes the characters. Whole cast is amazing and I like the docu-kinda style and also love the fact that the actors are also formerly incarcerated in the real Sing Sing. Clarence Maclin did great and I'm happy he got those BAFTA and Critics Choice Awards noms. Should've gotten an Oscar nom too imo. Colman Domingo did a perfect job too.
Also those end credits are the most touching credits I've ever seen in any movie.
