  A rewatch at my 11yr old's request. I never enjoyed this as much as the films that follow, and Rowling's TERFiness hangs over the whole thing. But this is still a fun set up with great sets, score, and wonderful (& lucky) casting.

  I’m not sold on Nancy Allen’s performance and John Lithgow is a little bit cartoonish but so what. DePalma doing that DePalma stuff I love with the camera work, editing, score, and just building suspense. Good stuff.

  There’s a lot to like here—all that spy craft nonsense, music, pacing, Naomie Harris, and of course, Pierce (never made a bad movie!) Brosnan,  but ultimately, I dunno, I wanted more. Is Mixed Bag too obvious of a pun?  Probably but I’m going with that anyways.
