One of the most unique horror movies I've ever seen and one that is haunting and shocking despite a choice that could have easily derailed all the tension the plot creates.

It never quite feels like Christmas until I watch this. A heartfelt, joyously exuberant adaptation that also manages to match the spectral spookiness of Dickens' story. The ending always brings a happy tear to my eye. The abundance of cheer and optimism is overwhelming. It shows that we all have the ability to generate so much happiness, whether that be through music and laughter, charity, or gratitude. This time of year has a way of bringing out all those things…
