  A well assembled movie with a strong visual point of view, but also kind of tepid in its storytelling approach. Undeserving of its Best Original Screenplay nomination at the Oscars — sorry :/

  John Magaro and Peter Sarsgaard are unsurprisingly great in their restrained portrayals of people working in TV journalism. Also loved seeing Leonie Benesch again after her terrific work in The Teachers’ Lounge

  Absolutely loved this one. Every shot is beautifully composed. The differences between the setting in the 2018 and 2023 scenes are often subtle, but so poignant in their portrayal of grief. Already wanna rewatch to pick up on details I missed.

  Unfortunately I’m a Saltburn hater. Some terrifically filmed scenes though (especially all of the ones that are like music videos), and one of the great characters of 2023 with Carey Mulligan as “Poor Dear” Pamela—though she’s on screen too briefly. Other than that, I don’t have anything nice to say about this annoying, aimless, and deeply stupid (but it thinks it’s brilliant) movie
