On a second viewing it is incredible to notice how much the film trusts the viewer. The film elicits a world of stories in the viewers head with dialogue and bits and pieces of rehearsals and auditions. With a great outcome orchestrated by the audience's imagination.

Another of the many commendable aspects of this outstanding feature is the personal stories of the inmates. These shine a light on how, even in their imprisonment life gets through. Affections, grief and friendship overcomes the physical barriers between them and the world.

Slick script and filmmaking for a satisfying spy thriller.

It is delightful to see Fassbender share the screen with Blanchett. Both are in very suiting roles to embody command, poise and calculated mischief.

There is some decent…

As a psychology major and film buff I was contractually obligated to watch this. This origin story for Freud's trademark theories has strong script and acting, unfortunately it feels very academic rather than artistic. Although nothing beats Freud being called Sigi by his wife.
