I am really touched by this movie. Every single one of these characters are so lived in. Every monologue is meaningful. And the character growth feels so genuine, and so charged. And to learn that it was based on a real story, with real people! Should have won more awards

I was absolutely not prepared for this journey. Spent the entire movie like this 🫣. Absolutely horrifying images that are burned into my retina. A devastating commentary on society’s views of ageing women, and how so much modification is internalised in self hatred. I kept going from horrified to pity to I don’t even know. Not for weak stomachs. But a heckin well made movie.

Adored this movie wholeheartedly. These two have fab chemistry and I can’t unsee Cynthia Erivo’s Elfaba, so good luck to the next one who tries to be her! Jeff Goldblum was an odd choice for a musical character. Definitely cried at the end. Incredible set design throughout and loved the costumes and fabrics. Let’s go for part 2!

Really felt like I was IN it. Grainy editing really works to the favour of the 70s feel, and John Magaro did a reallyyyy great job. Perfect length too.
One thing I will say is that the trailer ‘ruins’ a lot of great lines that I would have loved to be naive to. I don’t usually watch trailers for this reason but oh well. Still, a super telling of a gripping tale
