i disliked everything about this on the first watch but reading the book actually made me not hate the story. though it did make me dislike this movie even more 💔
the thing is this actually isn’t the worst adaptation ever and i can see what they were trying to go for with the mixture of old and modern english dialogue but then they decide to add stupid ass lines like these:
- “Now we’re strangers. Worse than strangers. We’re exes.”

i rewatched this only bc i finished rereading the books… but this movie continues to stay so bad 💔
though the dialogue was funnier than i remember it being:
- “why are you taking your pants off? what are you doing??”
- “you’re burning money? we’re in a recession”
- “i used to date your daddy”anyways logan lerman STAYS being the white boy of the month,, but you know you’re getting old when his dad can also… get it
