    Whelp…..at least it’s better than the Sandy Cheeks movie. 

    There is some stuff that’s somewhat good here as a SpongeBob fan. Plankton’s wife Karen finally gets the spotlight, and Jill Talley finally gets her opportunity to shine as a voice actress. Capturing all of Karen’s fractured personalities pretty well. I did actually find the romance between Plankton and Karen kinda cute, in a surface level kind of way. And I think the finale was somewhat endearing.

It starts off like an espionage thriller, switches into a romance, turns into an action sci-fi horror movie, and then flip-flops back and forth.
