I already loved this film on first viewing but this rewatch has cemented it as one of my all-time favorites. I love everything about both this film and Part One but man does Part Two just hit harder. Found myself shedding a tear at several points throughout the film due to the sheer beauty of seeing one of my favorite stories come to life.
Initially rated this series a 4.5/5 but after sitting with the ending and thinking back on the season as a whole I feel this miniseries deserves a 5/5. The Penguin is an excellent continuation of Matt Reeves’s Epic Crime Saga following The Batman. Romulus is a great entry in the alien franchise. Very reminiscent of the original 1979 film but still manages to stand on its own. Visuals and atmosphere were spot on for what I want out of an alien film.
