Mysterious Skin 2004
Watching Mysterious Skin for the second time made me realize that the trauma carried by people who were sexually abused as a child can either be hypersexual or asexual growing up. Neil being the hypersexual one and Brian being the asexual one. Both victims with two different outcomes. This film truly left a question inside my head, wondering if being sexually abused as a child can influence someone's sexual awakening and orientation towards being queer?
