The Alto Knights 2025
I didn’t know what the story was going into it and I was engaged throughout. It’s nothing new and we’ve seen similar stories before but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t somewhat of a sucker for a Robert De Niro mob related film. One of Them Days 2025
I had a really good time watching this. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel or anything. It’s a solid buddy comedy with Keke Palmer and SZA having good chemistry together. This helped a lot because, while all the jokes don’t necessarily land for me, the two on screen together is just a fun time. I did like seeing comedians I like such as Katt Williams, Tony Baker and Janelle James in small roles. The scene with Keke, SZA and Keyla Monterroso Mejia had me chuckling a lot!
