Great monster design imo. I did have a lot of fun but…
This does feel very skin deep for bong. It’s Snowpiercer meets okja but somehow less punch.
The ending was?? We’re all friends in the end? Tonally it was setting up a tragedy for me. The joyous ending was out of left field.
This movie really is about Mickey 18 and he didn’t get the respect he deserved

Fundamentally, an exploration of honor and ambition, questioning for whom we seek those two. In the face of time, the answer is irrelevant.
I’d say there are points were I can’t tell how the fantasy of the world fits into the thematic goals -I can’t tell if some are meant to be hallucinations or dreams or not. However, I certainly felt what Gawain did: fear of loss, fear of expectation, fear of failed responsibility and perhaps a centering of that responsibility to oneself.
