  + Denzel DOMINATING
  - Sharks in the Colosseum?? " make it stop + Some pretty mint and massive action set pieces
  - Flimsy & overlooked character set-up failed to make me care enough particularly with our new Gladiator even more so with the twin emperors
  - The overwhelming feeling of facsimile, the Dejà vu, left me longing for Maximus Decimus Meridius (he will have his vengeance- in this life, or the next (g) + phenomenal sets/costumes

  All up - was I not entertained? Sure? I guess? Just not enough to take the edge off my disappointment it wasn't the film I needed it to be.

  What to say. Such an ODDITY this film. Like REALLY. Forrest and Jenny back together which was weird but cool - the entire story shot in one room, across different generations of families, starting pre-colonialism as forestland home to an indigenous tribe and kicking off with dinosaurs and the ice age?? Yep. I get what Zemeckis was going for but it landed as more passionless pastiche - noooo emotion at all from me. Kind of a bummer.

  GOOD LORD how good. Ralph Fiennes hoists up the Oscar’s flag as he presides over the ambitious coven of Cardinals all vying for Papal supremacy and its GRIPPING.

  Stanley Tucci - ALWAYS. The score and the cinematography are 5 star. See it on the BIG screen.
