  ok ok I know that Zizek is not doing film criticism when he uses films as examples, but still imagine writing about this and thinking that the only psychoanalytically interesting thing to say is "the world is really bad right now so maybe we should have more people building magic caves"

  embarrassing that this is the film I've seen the most times as an adult. 50 minutes too long, but that makes it perfect for when I need something to help turn my brain off for most of an afternoon

  a very fun time, but I'm a bit too partial to things like characters I find intriguing and/or that make sense to me for this to have totally worked. it will be interesting (or at least something) to see how this ages lmao
