I didn’t experience the emotional connection/catharsis I thought I would with this film because the tone/vibe felt…off. The script writing was stilted and the film score felt so disconnected from the content of each scene. Stars given reflect strong performances from Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton, stellar set design at the Airbnb house, and absolute 🔥 costume fits for Tilda

The story + setting + music are perf for a holiday movie outing with the fam. I kinda was hoping to see an edge/melancholic side of Willy in Timmy’s portrayal, but any exploration of that felt a bit superficial, keeping the tone upbeat + heartfelt. All the same, this was v cute and charming and I had fun watching it!
