The two words to best describe this are "nasty" and "nonsense", and they're both compliments. Great with a midnight madness crowd.
There's exploitation sleaze on display here, not just in the gross out imagery and violence, but in the classic brazen "we won't hold anything back" type of attitude. I saw people throwing out Fulci comparisons and I see it. The nonsense is actually not that Fulci though, not one to one, while something like City of the Living Dead…
