  A classic gruesome (ohhhh, that’s where grue came from) procedural that’s wildly transphobic. Clarice, a young up and coming FBI agent (with a black lady colleague who very briefly pops up a few times) is tasked with a routine attempt to Mindhunter an imprisoned serial killer, Hannibal Lector. The errand is wildly successful, in part due to the ongoing manipulation of her by her boss. She navigates the boy’s club of the FBI and local police as the investigation continues, fending off constant sexual harassment. Thanks to her abundant luck she ends up cracking the case and almost getting herself killed by the killer.

  A quirky Omelas about capitalism commodifying everything including all of us. It’s a bit anachronistic as it looks like it assumed Trump would lose the second election and/or get released last year. Has great critters.
