A really really brilliant watch. The more the audience’s curiosity wants to find out, the more we condemn these lovers to their fate.

Parasite 2019
It would have been 4* but some of the writing didn’t fully make sense to me. A strong sense of suspense and anxiety permeates through the film like a virus - or parasite - but certain moments just didn’t add up. Perhaps if I went into the film without knowing its huge hype I’d rate it higher, but for me it was a good enjoyable film, nothing more.

A really important film to watch which has some truly powerful emotions. Even taking away the body of the film - finding the son - important discussions of the Catholic Church in Ireland and the expectation/shaming of women in particular are crucial to be had. Watch and be ready for your emotional capacity to be stretched.
