  At my sister's urging, I (like lots of us) recently watched the documentary The Social Dilemma and I have a lot of thoughts.

  There is some valuable information here that I think is important to being an informed social media user. I think the mental health and sociopolitical consequences of social media should be taken seriously and there are steps all of us can take to improve our relationship to social media.

  Captain Marvel 2019

  Captain Marvel meant a lot to me. I didn’t get movies like this when I was a kid. My heroes were Disney princesses because those were my options. The rare exceptions came in TV form (Kim Possible and Totally Spies come to mind; as a side note, both used hairdryer and lipstick-shaped tools).

  Part of what made this movie mean so much to me is best highlighted by contrasting it with another recent superheroine movie that I loved - Wonder…
