  Idk I guess this is just a very raw-but-also-super-distilled Lynch movie that it was so many of the things that miss me with his stuff. Too art-housey imo.

  Got bombarded by distractions in the final minutes, so that kinda sucks. But overall an excellent vibes movie, in the Willems context. Great needle drops and cinematography.

  Like all the best stories, Titanic is a tale of many things and many themes. In the style of old hollywood epics, literally nothing is overlooked. From non-English speaking immigrants trying translate their way onto the top deck to characters saying exactly what the audience is thinking (“shut up!”), it’s a masterclass in detail. Also, with that one-of-a-kind James Cameron touch, it can genuinely suffer no rival. A love story set against the backdrop of a doomed symbol of the modern age, sunk by a harbinger of nature’s revenge, Titanic is exquisite.
