The best romantic movie of all time, for my money.
I don't even know where to begin. The performances by Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy are just unbelievable. Jesse and Celine really do feel like real people, once filled with aspirations, dreams, and now, disappointment and some deep-seated resentment. This is true in all of the Before Trilogy, but never does it feel so obvious as in Before Sunset.

A brutal look at the disintegration of a relationship. It feels a bit unfair in the portrayal of the relationship, because Ryan Gosling is so damn likable that it did overshadow his deficiencies as a father and as a husband. But otherwise, incredibly well-done.
