  This is my new favorite Sofia Coppola movie for sure. The set design, costuming, performances, and editing were top tier.

  My only gripe is that the needle drops (with 2-3 exceptions) felt disconnected from the film. The way these scenes were shot and what was going on in those scenes were in contrast to the music being used. Like, the vibe of what was on screen didn’t match the song being used. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t think this was a contrast Coppola was going for?

  I really can’t decide what to rate this. On one hand, Paris, Texas has this really nice depiction of someone who lost their way and is looking to rebuild the wake of destruction he left behind. However, his journey left many open ends that I feel the film should have addressed.

  This is honestly one of my ‘most anticipated watches’ for the Christmas season. There are so many great one liners and gags. Plus, the soundfx never go out of style.

  For the cherry on top, fuckin ‘Round and Round’ by Ratt plays at the end.
