  I don’t think I fully appreciated how good this is on my first viewing some 6-7 years ago. It’s sharp, but zany. It may be rough around the edges in some respects, but as a package The Warriors has earned its cult status through its fairytale/comic book storytelling. The themes of camaraderie, perseverance, and class struggle, as well as a host of historical context for the turbulent time in New York City history this film captures, pervade this film.

  I really can’t decide what to rate this. On one hand, Paris, Texas has this really nice depiction of someone who lost their way and is looking to rebuild the wake of destruction he left behind. However, his journey left many open ends that I feel the film should have addressed.

  This is honestly one of my ‘most anticipated watches’ for the Christmas season. There are so many great one liners and gags. Plus, the soundfx never go out of style.

  For the cherry on top, fuckin ‘Round and Round’ by Ratt plays at the end.
