I liked this movie and found hailey's acting to be on point. The story has some really relatable high school experiences.

a beautifully directed film of a story told in 3 parts. I find that each of the actors who played Chiron did an amazing job in capturing the same character even though they are all different people. A great commentary on toxic masculinity and sexuality.

The irregular chronology of this movie threw me off track the first time I watched it. On the second viewing, I already knew how the timeline is not chronological and was able to pick up the hints that showed how the movie was taking place before the beginning of the movie. The concept of the movie is still a little confusing but it is was very interesting to hear about and see how it works in the movie.

I came into this movie with honestly, a low expectation because I, a uncultured local film noob had a bias towards silent films. I thought they were boring and not interesting because it is missing such a normal part of modern film. I was totally wrong and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The music helps with digesting the movie and setting the feeling of the scene. The tramp is hilariously clumsy and I laughed a couple times throughout the movie. Now I understand why charlie chaplin is an icon and how films with the tramp character are a classic.
