  This movie has a lot of great “bone structure”

  I really adore when a movie is aware of the tropes it is playing into, but subverts them in really cute and clever ways. Roadtrip movies are pretty hit and miss, the stops never really giving justice to the destination, itself trying to be a commentary on the journey as a whole.   Still the best Christmas movie ever made. I literally have spent more hours than I can remember studying the lighting and colors of the backgrounds in this movie. It’s literally so beautiful I have no idea how they get such a soft grunge brush effect on top of such vibrant colors it makes no sense.
