  It’s been months since I’ve seen this documentary and honestly it still haunts me. I don’t have much nostalgia for the Brat Pack movies, but I would have been perfectly fine with a straightforward documentary about how fun it was making Pretty in Pink. This doc is so much more bizarre than that, and the lack of self awareness from director and former brat pack star Andrew McCarthy is jaw dropping. Walking into it blind and getting something completely different…

  I first saw this movie pre-discourse, and while I think it deserves all the criticism it’s getting, I can’t fully hate this movie. It’s not as bad as that infamous ‘penis to vagina’ clip makes it out to be, but the fact that it has an infamous ‘penis to vagina’ clip is why I don’t blame anyone for dunking on this movie.
