Mulholland Drive 2001
Pretty much everything Lynch touches is a dream-like perversion of things we already understand from watching film or just existing in popular day to day culture, Mulholland Drive drops those ideas right in the heart of Hollywood. Per usual like anyone else I'm not going to pretend to know what "actually" happened in Mulholland Drive I think what actually matters is that it can stretch what we can try to understand and take from more experimental story structures.

The Silence of the Lambs 1991
Haven't seen this in 10+ years at least and God Hannibal never gets any less chilling and this absolutely set the stage for so many other serial killer films into the 21st century. Minus half a star because why is Chilton written like a fucking cartoon villain, too goofy takes me out of it.

ZIPWHARF 2024
ROFF and Zipwharf were both a lot of fun and I'm so stoked I got to check it out while visiting NYC this past weekend! Zipwharf feels like in part some kind of dystopian fever dream while really hitting the nail on the head especially with these online grifters that are all too common in "content creation" these days. So pumped to see what the people who worked on this do next and was also very nice to talk with a few of them after the screening.
