Sometimes it's correct for a movie to only be like 90 minutes, there's a world where this could have been stretched out another half an hour and I'm glad that didn't happen. Does something exciting by simply focusing on no other characters apart from one group of intelligence agency workers while things gradually fall into place without the need for too much spectacle.

Pretty much everything Lynch touches is a dream-like perversion of things we already understand from watching film or just existing in popular day to day culture, Mulholland Drive drops those ideas right in the heart of Hollywood. Per usual like anyone else I'm not going to pretend to know what "actually" happened in Mulholland Drive I think what actually matters is that it can stretch what we can try to understand and take from more experimental story structures.

ROFF and Zipwharf were both a lot of fun and I'm so stoked I got to check it out while visiting NYC this past weekend! Zipwharf feels like in part some kind of dystopian fever dream while really hitting the nail on the head especially with these online grifters that are all too common in "content creation" these days. So pumped to see what the people who worked on this do next and was also very nice to talk with a few of them after the screening.

Best Eggers yet? I think so
We've been due for a vampire film that plays it this straight and perfect for a long time, does an incredible job of feeling timeless as well which I think will hold up very well for it for decades to come.
