BIFF Film #5 (sorry, Four Mothers—you conflicted with the Big 10 Championship Game)
Touching and funny. Charlie Creed-Miles was exceptional, and his character’s progression felt very natural. Cumming was also great—the actors had wonderful chemistry. And the backdrop of a sparse Canadian winter worked really well for me. There were some absolutely gorgeous shots.
There are a few moments where the film seems to go a bit too over the top that felt very jarring; while the message of those scenes was important, it verged on being too much. But it’s a sweet film. J'adore les pétoncles.
