Honestly kind of a feel-good movie.
Didn’t feel tight or connected enough to be satisfying until the ending came back around to the moral mentioned earlier in the movie.
Love the vibes in this one
Visually and stylistically beautiful, but the film itself felt a little disjointed.
I never truly know how to judge a film when it differs so much from the source material. I do appreciate the differences made for the film though, even if I don’t necessarily think they make the story better.
Unsurprisingly, I think the book is much better. It goes more into the politics of the universe and creates a more dystopian environment, which I would’ve liked to see…
I think the trailers and title of this film definitely worked against it. Made it seem more basic than it ended up being.
I have a soft spot for Olympics movies, and I have an great appreciation for the structure of this movie.
Superb
Everything I could’ve wanted:
beautiful practical effects, stunning performances, and tight comedic elements
And, I mean, the cinematography was peak in this movie too
