  Alice Rohrwacher in this film endowed the land and every being, plant and object with a magic from a different world and time. The familiar is rendered distant; the distant, familiar. Consolidation and contradiction collide beautifully. The movie winds up as charmingly ungraspable as the protagonist. I like the wolf a lot and I hate the technological tide of capitalism. Viva il cinema di poesia!

  Update: I watched this film again. It didn't hit me until right at the end, when I got shudders and followed the consensus that it's goated. This really is a mood. Everything comes together perfectly
