    quite the conundrum with no easy answers. the premise alone of juror #2 had me interested in it, and i was pretty happy with how clint eastwood executed his ideas. morality is always challenged by context — in a vacuum the answer is easy, but we are not perfectly moral people. internal and external motivations, personal situations, and pretty much the depth of the human experience muddy the waters of chasing justice. 

    nicholas hoult is fantastic and wow his eyes are so blue. juror #2 works because of his performance, perfectly capturing how difficult and complicated his situation is.

    robert pattinson continues to make a case as my current favorite living actor. his body language, facial expressions, and voices are really highlighted with his portrayal of mickey, and he truly holds the movie together. everyone on this movie must have had so much fun…

    trap is as flawed as it is entertaining, with me genuinely having some of the most fun I've had in a theater this year. the way it's shot manages to put you into josh hartnett's perspective: the camera invites you to be as observant as he is as you catch yourself taking notes of everyone's behavior, looking out for possible exits, anything to get you out of his situation.
