I watched this on an IMAX screen and the closest experience I can think of to this was seeing Southland Tales in the theater in 2006, which I was also very hyped about at the time. With both movies, the script is a complete mess and I can't bring myself to care about any of the characters. Adam Driver did his best with the material.
