Without a doubt one of the most well made films I’ve seen, La Haine is a masterclass in the art of filmmaking. Anyone that watches it will see that. Outside of the technical aspects, this isn’t a perfect movie, but it’s not far off. It’s a movie so good, it almost doesn't matter that it uses the most hated cliche ending in films.

The satire works and is funny, the performances are great, and despite a few awful green screens, this movie looks quite good as well. My only boy big issue is that I felt the premise was a lot more interesting than the actual plot, and I felt the unique premise was a bit spoiled by a conventional story.

Much like Us, it’s very easy to nitpick and find things to dislike.
