  avoided seeing this when it came out because of my toilet neurosis, but I remember it being so big with my cousins and just kinda omnipresent in Aus culture for a little minute.

  And I get it! Genuinely endearing/sincere of working class life in Australia. So real at times it was giving me flashbacks to moments in my childhood. 

  It’s such a bummer its success didn’t spark of a wave of similarly low budget Aus comedies. I feel like this was/is the way forward for Australian film (especially) comedy. Maybe the moment has passed but.

  vivid memory of catching this on sbs when j was maybe 13/14 and falling so madly in love with the mean European girl, which maybe sent me on the path I’m on now (oh well)

  idk how to rate this, but I kinda loved it? 

  It felt like a 2 hour Kojima cutscene x attack of the clones x show girls x a knock-off Delilo novel x a dying man’s fever dreams 

  one of the guys from the chaser did the live reading bit haha
