  Ok, my first question is did I miss something here, or is this supposed to be a 3 hour long bore-fest. The soundtrack was so god damn annoying that I couldn't even pay attention and the dialogue was hard to understand because of the music blaring. It's one of those movies where there are interconnecting stories, so I was expecting it to all tie up at the end. but NOPE. The opening scene of the film was very impressive, but honestly, that's about it. I wouldn't really recommend this to anyone.

  What a dark ironic tale that only East European gothic can offer. A bottomless meditation on the grand ideas of a time and place that lead to a grand evil. A mind-bending, taut carnival ride of visuals. Chilling in a way few other movies are.
