I thought my life was going to be like Babylon. Instead, it's like Next Stop, Greenwich Village.

Monsieur Hulot's Holiday 1953
When the gags arrived, they were hilarious, but I found myself impatiently stirring for them to arrive, which thankfully they did often. It's just that nobody else was all that interesting besides Mr. Tati and there wasn't enough to it to hold my attention in between the gags.

Nashville 1975
You know what I dislike more than country music? This movie. Incoherent, obnoxious and bloated, Altman and writer Joan Tewkesbury made a movie that is as superficial as the people portrayed. Just because you have multiple characters doesn't mean you have multiple depth; this movie is just multiplying by zero. William Goldman and Paul Schrader are on record saying they hate this film so I'm in good company.
