I’m at a loss of words. The pure excitement of being able to watch this visual spectacle at a legendary cinema in london is just not describable…
I think it has been my fourth time seeing nolan’s masterpiece and it feels like with every watch I connect deeper with this story. It doesn’t become dull nor boring, but I grow closer to it every time.
It’s just a thing I simply love.
Being a Netflix original, I honestly didn’t expect much of this movie. But I have to say I am positively impressed by how well-shot the scenes were and most importantly how the story isn’t as dull and cheesy as you may expect having watched other movies produced by Netflix…
Additionally I just loved the fighting scenes in the luggage conveyor system room, I just couldn’t help myself but to think of the similar scene from Die Hard 2.
I can only recall three other films that have left me feeling as drawn from reality as this one did.
This film provides a repulsive, nauseating, and deeply disgusting insight into the „Operativen Vorgänge“ of that time and the brazen manner in which state authorities justified their intrusions into the dignity and privacy of individuals. All of this, based on nothing more than vague suspicions of holding a „western, but simply just disapproved“ opinion.
