might be nostalgia, but despite some flaws here and there, I actually think this is good and really funny. I’m so glad they didn’t go with the alternate ending, even though the final choice isn’t particularly perfect either. Need to watch the original Karate Kid asap
Even better on a rewatch! It truly feels like one of Miyazaki's most mature and enchanting films. You can sense that it's his latest work, packed with ideas and experiences shaped by the journey of his long lasting career, somewhat reflecting on his own life. I hope it wasn't his last :)
I am not a huge Star Wars fan, but I can’t really think of a reason why somebody wouldn’t have a good time with this.
It feels so raw and grippy (I mean this in the best way possible), yet so sophisticated and beautifully made. This contrast is what imo makes it so good.

Today, I had the privilege of witnessing one of my favorite films on the big screen. It's hard to express in words, but those 134 minutes, now for the fourth time, were filled with scenes that were thought-provoking, admirable, and simply beautiful. Time flew by, leaving me in awe once again. I doubt I'll ever grow tired of this cinematic masterpiece.
